At MH Joinery Products plc we have combined modern technology with craftsmanship and technical expertise to provide a range of high quality traditional staircases with outstanding customer service. The traditional range of staircases is our broadest covering all common types and styles from simple through to ornate with all standard features available.

Technical
Our specialist knowledge supported by computer technology ensures that our staircases are befitting your requirements and fully comply with current building regulations. Stair drawings are prepared for all staircases, confirming staircase configuration and dimensions. A major factor in our success is that all of our technical and sales staff have developed their skills from those acquired in the production of staircases.

Manufacture
Modern technology in the form of CNC machinery is utilised to produce components economically and to exact tolerances. Although computer technology and machinery is essential to competitive manufacture we endeavour to ensure that it’s application does not compromise the quality or appearance of our products. All components are labeled with job number and plot number and a copy of the stair drawing is attached to the flight for installation reference. Newels, loose treads and bottom steps are bench fitted and numbered to correspond.

Delivery
All staircases are delivered on our own fleet of rigid vehicles, ensuring correct handling and care of our products. In addition to normal delivery paperwork a component check sheet is also provided which combined with the labeling of components simplifies identification for handling, storage and installation.

Pre-Assembled Balustrades
Balustrades can be supplied as assembled units with metal brackets providing fixings to newel posts. The flight balustrades are factory cut to exact length and supplied with bolts for site fixing to newels.  The landing balustrades are supplied over length for site cutting to suit with handrail and capping mitres properly jointed and factory assembled.

Pre-Assembled Winders
Winder boxes can also be supplied as assembled units. The strings, treads, risers and newels are factory assembled by skilled workers in conditions not achievable on site. All joints are properly wedged, blocked, screwed and time allowed for the glue to cure, ensuring a squeak free winder box.

Factory Priming & Finishing
Our paint shop is fully equipped with paint booth, tracking and spraying equipment. This facility enables us to offer priming or sealing and even fully finished staircases in clear, stain or white finishes.

Protection
Basic protection can be provided with Hardboard tread pads which are stapled to the surface of each tread. In addition building paper can be used to cover both the treads and risers being held in place by the tread pads. Hardwood or pre-finished staircases can be supplied with full flight protection which includes cardboard inside of string, hardboard to outer strings, treads pads, building paper and loose components supplied in heavy duty polythene.
